Client Money Protection is a statutory requirement for letting and property management agents in England. CMP is an insurance-backed scheme that ensures the protection of money from the landlords and tenants held by agents throughout the course of our business.
In the unlikely event that client funds are misappropriated, lost, or stolen – or if agents business’ goes into administration- landlords and tenants are entitled to make a claim through their approved CMP scheme for compensation.

Since April 2007, it has been a legal requirement for all deposits taken under Assured Shorthold Tenancies in England and Wales to be protected through a government-approved tenancy deposit protection scheme.
In accordance with the Housing Act 2004, landlords and agents must ensure that tenant deposits are securely held and that all prescribed information is provided within the required timeframe.
